Question:

Yahoo! asking for my password....?

I have a Yahoo! account for my website and I've been having issues with Yahoo! Sitebuilder. I've been e-mailing Yahoo! for almost a month now, and then I received an e-mail this morning from Yahoo! asking for my password. Uh...should they be asking for this? Wouldn't they be able to access my account without my password? Should I reply and give them my password?

I'm a little concerned because if I give them my password they would have access to my bank information since I pay for the Yahoo! website.

Should I reply to them and give them my password?

  1. NOOOOOOOOOOO!

  2. They should have a phone number you can contact if it's a security password issue.  It should be stated right in the email.  By the way, Yahoo has access to your bank account information if you have automatic payment with a financial service.  But, no do not give the password.  I, too, am having issues with sitebuilder and getting the generic we are looking into it emails right now.  Good luck!!!

  3. no, yahoo knows your password...they do not need it.

NEVER give ANY passwords out EVER.

  4. NO. Yahoo will NEVER ask for your password. Is this an email? If so, hit the spam button!
