Haha, I love how in the sports section on the yahoo homepage has no hockey its like the same storys from monday, which I am not suprised the slightest bit because they never cover the NHL.

Now for my question,

What do you think about the Wings/Stars game 4 last night?

Do you think the refs will suck as bad in game 5?

  1. We must be careful not to expect much from Yahoo.....

It wasn't until recently that they discovered that there are 49 other states outside of California.

  2. Yeah they are teamed up with ESPN.

    Sucked just like the referees.

  3. Yahoo sports hockey coverage stinks but Yahoo actually plays some of the games live online. Which is good for me while im at work late

  4. Most U.S. based sports webpages leave hockey as an afterthought.  It's been that way all along.

As for the Wings/Stars match.  Ya, the refs blew a couple calls but that happens.  Believe me I wasn't too impressed with the disallowed Holmstrom goal.  But, the refs felt they had to make up for the blown call a couple seconds earlier on Holmy's interference.  Plus, you had to think Dallas would come out hard and play that way all night, it could have been there last game.

But, I thank Dallas for winning that game so Detroit can take the series at home Saturday night.

  5. I didnt know yahoo had a hockey section!the only story ive been seeing is Lebron James told him mom to shut up.Now thats a headline! What a f-n joke.As far as the game last night,i know people blame the refs a lot,but last night was ridiculous.I couldnt care less about either team, but that was ugly.Maybe those conspiracy theorists are right and the NHL wants certain things to happen and they will do whatever it takes to make it happen.

  6. I can't blame yahoo for not featuring a story from their "I probably have never put on a pair of skates" hockey writer Ross McKeon.

Game 4 was a perfect example why I am totally turned off by the NHL.  I am not a Wings or Stars fan, but when officiating is so inconsitant that it helps determine games, why waste time and money watching?

***Oh I know, but you have to admit that their hockey section is freaking brutal.  I am surprised they don't have a story of Barbaro as the main headline still.

  7. That was the first game I watched of the Wings and I was far from impressed.

I'll be looking forward to the Pens / Wings Cup match!
