Can a user of other e-mail address than yahoo.com become a member of a yahoo group?

  1. yes. if they have a yahoo ID, they can add an additional address to that account- step one below

    if they do not have a yahoo ID, they's join via the subscribe address of the group

    1) go to this link- http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs click add email address on top left- follow steps and confirm address.

    2) then go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the column Email Address click the arrow for the drop down box and select new address- click save changes


  2. Yes, they can, but they don’t get access to all the group's web features such as Photos, Files, Links, Polls and Calendar sections.

  3. if you don't have a yahoo membership, you can become a member of the group's mailing list, and will be able to send and receive e-mails to the group, but you won't be able to log in, view files, photos, archived messages, vote in polls etc

    it's easy enough to set up a yahoo address, then forward all e-mails to another address through it, and set group mails to go to that e-mail address
