Question:

Yahoo groups...help!?

I'm a moderator of a group. I had to get a YIM for my new job but it wouldn't take my name and password so I set up a new one. Now, with my new name and password, I can't access my group because it won't accept my OLD info. I tried emailing Tech Support LAST week and haven't heard a thing from them. Is there a way for me to get into my group without having to ask everyone there to wipe their stuff off? I'm the only moderator so I can't reinvite myself to my own group. Help! I miss my group! If anyone needs more info about my problem, let me know because I want to get back into my group!!!

hope those help- some one else recently had this issue- you do not allow IM's or e-mail so I cant do much else. creating a new ID would not be related to this, just a  coincidence. your ID was either compromised or maybe an auto responder occured. ******

not sure why your ID wouldn't work with the YIM. if you had the correct ID but not password, after 3 tries it locks for 24 hrs as a safety measure. you'd still need to log onto the web to gain access to your groups. you should be able to log onto groups via your ID from any computer- and any ISP. you don't even need a YIM to log onto groups.

that new ID you created will not work with your group, it's a new account and you'll have to join with that account- one account will not coincide with another account- it will not know you're the same person. Yahoo will see it as a account not a subscriber to your group.

since you're the only moderator- you'll need to access your group under and using the account you're subscribed with- that is the only way- once you gain access again, join under the new ID and use it as a spare and make it also an owner.

Yahoo tech wont be able to help with this either- they wont be able to connect the new ID to the group, that's a safety measure as well. you need to gain access to you owner ID
