Yahoo links for search results not working?

Question

The links from yahoo search are not working and I'm sure I have a good connection but I get the page cannot be displayed ,You are not connected to the Internet.

The website is encountering problems.

There might be a typing error in the address.

My connection is working fine, I find it would strange for all the different websites to be down

I've had a client with a similiar issue where he was able to surf the internet absolutely fine on any other web site but after putting a query into yahoo's search engine wasn't able to go to any of the links on from the site. To resolve the issue I ended up having to uninstall NIS (Norton Internet Security) because later to find out it was creating a group policy that disabled you from performing that function. If you don't have NIS and have another of symantecs program or new virus and/or firewall protection. You may want to temporaily disable it to see if it allows you to gain access to the site and eliminate other possible causes for your situation
