when I start yahoo music or yahoo radio it screws up and freezes my system leaving me to reboot

the screen that is displayed when it screws up says opening

play is highlighted but not the skip button

this is what is displayed at the bottom of yahoo music or radio screen then the sound glitches and my system freezes

my guess is that it is a sound media problems but my system information doesnt say that anything is wrong and theres nothing wrong with my speakers drivers or something else

i was wondering if it is yahoo's fault or my fault

and if anybody new how to get it working again

my system specs are

windows vista home premium

AMD Athlon(tm) xp 2000+

512 MB Ram

Radeon 9600 series

and my sound device is:

C-Media AC97 Audio Device

im aware that people using vista are having problems

i have problems too with my dvd rom and the fact that it doesnt shutdown properly but please help!

  1. I don't have the answer, but you should look at the system event logs to get a clue.  This article may help:

Also can you play streaming audio under Vista Windows Media Player, e.g., radio stations?  If that fails, then it isn't a Yahoo problem.
