Question:

Yahoo ratings system for businesses is a scam! Businesses have their bad reviews deleted! Why even bother?

I rated a business with one star explaining why. I see that my rating has disappeared and there are other comments directed at me. Obviously, the owner of the business had my rating deleted and had his family and friends diss me and rate themselves highly. If this was a fair system, there would be no deletions for this reason. I will no longer use Yahoo as my search engine. You disappoint me.

  1. What do you think can be done to remedy this?

  2. It's worse than that!!! Look at the ratings for Megacapacity.com. I created a spreadsheet of the 78 (at the time) ratings that were POSTED. The values Yahoo displayed ARE NOT ACCURATE. For example, the actual value for their 3.5 star rating for Customer Service is 2.5 stars. They have or had "hidden" an additional 28 ratings that supposedly brought that up to 3.5. That is statistically impossible without cooking the books. I've been a my.yahoo subscriber (yes, I pay money) for over ten years. Yahoo might as well become part of Microsoft as this conduct reflects their ethics to a T!
