Yahoo sends my messages to my phone. I want that stopped without canceling my yahoo account. How do I do that?

I just don't want to recieve notice on my cell phone that I have e-mail messages. I know that there is a way to stop this, I just can't seem to find it in yahoo. Any suggestions?

It sounds like it's a setting in Alerts because it's when you get e-mail, not instant messages, correct?

Go to Yahoo! Alerts:

http://alerts.yahoo.com/

Click on the "My Alerts" tab.

Click the green box next to (or just delete) any alerts you do not wish to receive.

First log on to Yahoo messenger.

2. Select messenger at the top left and scroll down to Privacy options , select it.

3. at the very top of the list , select General.

4. Select the  Edit Mobile Device button at the bottom center above the OK button.

5. At the top right of the Yahoo Mobile Page , under the search panel , click on help.

6. In the Ask Yahoo! Go Help menu , click on Basic.

7. I n the Ask Yahoo! Go Help ,  go down  to Customizing section and click How do I customize Yahoo! Go Mobile?

8. Click on Configure mail connection and alerting.

9. At the bottom of the menu click the to contact Customer Care for further assistance button and fill in the form for assistants.

10. Sorry I don't know how to walk you through the rest of it myself , but if you don't have Yahoo messenger go to http://mobile.yahoo.com/ and do take it from step 5 as I showed you above. This will obviously lead you to step 9 the customer care select button to fill in the form.

Log into to your account then find your yahoo alerts check see if there are any alerts that are set up to send to your mobile then just delete them
