Does anyone have any suggestions about Yahoo 360?

I just made one yesterday, and I wanted to know how you get people to view it! Thanks!

First you must show your link to

your 360, for this....

➀.-Click in your Answers Profile.

➁.-Click Edit my Info.

➂.-Go to:

Privacy Area

❐Allow Answers users to contact me via email (Address not publically displayed)

❐Show link to my Yahoo! 360 page

❐Allow Answers users to contact me via Yahoo! Messenger

➃.-Activate

☑ Show link to my Yahoo! 360 page

➄.-Click Preview.

➅.-And click OK.

➣Maybe you have trouble,

don´t appears.

Ok, Select & copy the full

web address that appears

in your web browser's

address bar

(starting from the http:// ..........)

➣Then you have it open and copy the

URL from the address bar.

➣Come back to your Answer Profile.

➣Click Edit my Info.

➣And in your.. About Me section,

Paste the address.



➣Click Preview.

➣And click OK.

Here are some things you should try doing:

1. Connect with other users (i.e. social networking)

- In 360, you can find people with similar interests via the Search page. You can also find people via Y/A profiles. Yahoo! Groups also has a link for adding people to 360 spaces.

- Finding "active" users is key to a great Y!360 experience. Try to connect with people who have a decent amount of content about themselves on their Y!360 (which means you should have the same on yours), people who comment on their friends pages, people who update their blogs often.

- Be active yourself. Visit other blogs and develop online relationships with others.

2. Promote your space or blog

- Wherever you can, you should put a link to your blog. Your profiles, your signature in personal e-mails, and etc. Send a link to it to all your contacts (friends and family) and encourage them to pass it on.

- FOR EXAMPLE, ON YAHOO! ANSWERS

Click "My Profile" to the upper right of this Yahoo! Answers page, then clicking "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the Privacy section and check the option of showing the link to your 360 page. Click Preview button and then the Ok button.

If it doesn't work (it has been a buggy feature) or the option is missing, put a full link in your "About Me" section.

*** Click "My Page"

*** Click the drop down menu "Preview as seen by" at the top right of your 360 "My Page".

*** Choose PUBLIC as the permission group and click the "Go" button

*** Click the "Top Page" link above your personal profile picture section on the left side.

*** Select & copy the FULL web address that appears in your web browser's address bar (starting from the http:// part)

*** Paste the address in your Y/A profile's "About Me" section with a space following it. If you have a Simple URL setup, use that instead. Make sure A SPACE follows the address.

The feature to display a 360 link is usually blocked to users who are under age 18. But it is also just a glitch for others.

3. Make the blog easy to find

- If possible, make the URL address easy to find and remember. In Y!360, you can create a simple URL for that purpose. It shortens the web address so that it's easy to remember. - Some services have RSS-capabilities. You can make your blog have a RSS button, enabling people to add it to their browser or newsreader's RSS list. RSS stands for real simple syndication, which allows users to see your blog in an aggregated form and not actually have to visit it. 4. Last but certainly not least: Consistently post interesting content

- Mainly, the blog should be authentic. Your thoughts, your creative background, your interests - there's only one "you," so be expressive! I know, that's corny, but it's true.

- Keep it updated.

- Theme... is your blog a commentary on the latest news? Is it a diatribe about activities in your daily life? Is it only about your pet's quirks? A theme isn't necessary, but a purpose helps. Now, if you just want to write anything that comes to mind, well, try to make it sound like an interesting read.

- A sense of fun - humor always helps.

To get people to view your 360 profile and blog and comment on it, you have to view others and comment on their blogs and pages.

To find people who are of the same mind as your likes and interests.. on your profile page run your cursor over some of the things you have posted as your likes.. a small popup will appear that offers to search for other people on the site which like that same thing .

Go to some of these peoples pages and look them over.. and if you like what you see and read.. then make a comment.. just a small one introducing yourself and then wait to see if they comment back. If they do.. you have made a tentative contact here on the 360.

Most successful blogs that I continuouly go to everyday are those that people will write everyday about their activities and insights into life on a daily basis.. They are usually full of funny things kids might do.. or they are written by a person who is working through a tragedy in their lives.. things of that sort.. and the contests work wonderfully well.. those like Picture Perfect.. or blogs that have What is This photos of close up objects and people guess what it is.. folks love those.
