Yamaha FZ6?

Question

would you recommend it as a decent starting bike?

if not what would you suggest?

i already know how to ride and im ok with the power and everything from experience on dirt

If you've got dirt experience, the the FZ6 is a great bike for you.  I think everybody should have to ride the dirt first before getting on the streets.

It depends on what you like personally and can afford. There are tons of bikes like the FZ6. My personal favorites are the Ducati Monster, Suzuki Sv650S, Aprilia Shiver 750, Triumph Speed and Street Triple.

The FZ6 utilizes a watered down version of a outdated R6S engine. Pros are it's midrange and top end, nakedness (less cost to replace parts if you drop it), and tall ground clearance. Cons are it's high seat height, on/off throttle response, and it doesn't have clipons.
