Hi there - I have an Yamaha HTR-5170 amplifier that has been shutting down on me intermittently& I can not figure it out. After checking all the connections, speaker wires on the all 5 Bose speakers & impedance it still will power off on its own. Sometimes it will not even power up & stay on it just keeps shutting off. This unit was taken to an authorized Yamaha repair shop & it was worked on for a week & it never once shutdown on them. They said they ran it through many tests/loads & it is working well. Well, no it's not...I can not listen to the radio, play a DVD or watch a movie on the satellite dish in 5.1 surround. Maybe this information will help solve my problem, I just recently bought a Samsung 60 inch DLP HDTV & since then this has been my life with my amp. Please help, Sammy
