Yamaha R6 Year Models?

Question

hello,

is the 2007 r6 same as 2008? or is the 08 a new model?

looking to get a new r6 and not sure what to go for, also when do the 09 come out?

Hello, i am 14 but i know lots about sportbikes itheir my hobby i love them, uhm each year they change something about each sportbike so yes they have changed something about it. bu ti dont know what maybe try yamaha.com

No they are not the same. Sportbikes don't change every year. Sometimes they just change the available color schemes but nothing technology wise.

The 2008 has been worked on. people were complaining about it being high strung, twitchy and poor in low RPM ranges. They addressed all of that supposedly and made the bike better all around. It's a different bike from 2007.

Not happy with being relegated out of the top spot, the R-six is back for '08 with some substantial changes that aim to bring the bike back to the front.
