Yamaha V-MAX fuel tank replacement question?

Question

I have a 1985 VMAX that i desperatly need to replace the tank.

In my eBay search, I found two tanks, one is from a 1997 vmax and one is from a 2002 vmax.

Will these fit my 1985????

I know there wasnt much changes made to the VMAX line but spending 80 bucks for a mostly clean tank that i can reseal easily is better than 250 for OEM.

any help is really appreciated!
