Yamaha YZ 125 for first ever dirtbike?

Im 15, and looking to buy a dirtbike, and i found two 2001 Yamaha YZ 125s for only $900 (apiece).

The only problem is, this would be my first ever dirtbike, and my thinks I should buy a trailbike that has a "wider powerband" or something like that.

So would it be very hard to learn how to ride a dirtbike starting out on a Yamaha YZ 125?

(The YZ is a motocross bike)

Yes, it has a peaky power curve, and yes, you might crash, but as long as you get the 125 not the 250, you'll be fine. You said about the trailbike,
DON'T GET IT! If it's a 125 it's pure rubbish. If you get a 250 you'll Crash, and might DIE lol.
