Yamaha banshee carb problem

Question

I have a yamaha banshee. The top of the carbs have these big blocks where the cables go into. They are called carb saftey switches? Its where you adjust idle. We broke one of the bolts on the idle adjuster. Do you need those blocks. Can you just run the cables directly into the carb. also do they sell the wire in the block seperatly. That is the part that broke and we only need that.

My banshee only has spark in one cylinder.What could be the problem? I put on new plug boots and plugs. All wiring seems to be fine.
