Yamaha jetski - water spray?

All yamaha jetskis squirt water up from the back, is there a purpose for this or can i block the hole up?

thats the outlet from the cooling system you could block it up but you'll smoke the engine.

yes it is the exit of the water cooler, and yes it was designed to allow others to see you, and yes it can be dismantled rather than blocked

look under the cut out where the nozzle is and find the hose that goes to the top, there should be a nut and bolt that you undo and let the hose hang down and it wont shoot up anymore.
