Yamaha mw12cx recording using the effects?

Question

i am recording with no problems with this usb mixer, but when i use the effects... i can hear them as I'm recording, but the recorded track is dry with no effects... is there a button i need to press to make the effects be recorded as I'm recording the track .... or does this mixer purely have effects to hear? and not to be recorded?? i am using cu base with it ..
