Yamaha to reveal official colours at Sepang – MotoGP news
Yamaha has announced to unveil its official livery later this month at Sepang just before the second three-day test starts on February 21.
Yamaha will have a press conference at Sepang International Circuit on Monday February 21 at 6:00 pm local time (Malaysia). It is programmed to reveal the bikes and gears with new 2011 livery to the press present at the MotoGP second pre-season test.
Shortly after the press release pictures will be available for Yamaha enthusiast to view all over internet.
Fiat is yet to be confirmed as it is or not playing the role of title sponsor for both team riders. In the first three-day test at Sepang team riders drove their machine dressed with carbon-fibber bodies.
Yamaha has bagged 182 MotoGP/ GP 500cc race wins until the date. Six riders have won the Rider Championship total of 15 times. Yamaha has hit the title for Manufacturer Championship for 13 times.
As Yamaha enters its 50th anniversary of World GP participation it makes this season to be more special and more important for the team to win. Company’s first appearance was in French GP May 21, 1961.
Jorge Lorenzo being the World Champion title by holding nine victories in 2010 season displaced his team mate Valentino Rossi multiple times World Champion. Lorenzo holds the primary position to lead Yamaha rider’s team on his new 2011 YZR-M1 this
season. Ben Spies rookie of the year 2010 is teammate to Lorenzo. Spies is having a lot of potential to perform this season. Wilco Zeelenberg will be the team manager.
Repsol Honda’s team is also a big important competitor for 2011 MotoGP season. As it stars trio for 2011 season. The latest RC212V will be driven by Dani Pedrosa, Andrea Dovizioso and the third star, Championship winning rider is Casey Stoner.
Presently Yamaha YZR-M1 is top-rated successful machine in MotoGP by winning five titles by far, four ridden by Valentino Rossi and a single by Jorge Lorenzo.
Yamaha will struggle back for its win as Valentino Rossi has shifted to Ducati debuting from this season. The new machine Ducati GP11 has gathered remarks to be more power full than its ancestor last season and Rossi demands to keep it the way it is.
Nicky Hayden is playing teammate along the Italian, which will strive to hit for his 10th MotoGP World Champion title.
