Yani Tseng feels good after performance in Asia
Yani Tseng thinks that her performance in Asia last month has helped her fix some persistent flaws in her game and now she is more confident than before.
Tseng took part in all four tournaments held in Asia last month, but what gave her fans a relief was a renewed form that boosted her morale and helped her record top-five finishes in three
events.
“I feel good. The last month I've been playing pretty good. Everything's getting better. Actually, this is my sixth in a row,” Tseng said while speaking to the LPGA (Ladies Professional
Golf Association) Tour during her latest interview in Florida.
“I never played that much, but I'm so excited for every tournament because I just feel like I'm in good position, I have chance to win a tournament. I was a little struggling three or four
months ago, but everything, everything's good. I'm learning so much last couple months”.
She headed to Malaysia in early October, where she took part in the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. But her performance remained jittery and she finished tied for the 49th position on
the leaderboard.
Quickly regaining her confidence, the top-ranked prodigy displayed a much better performance at the LPGA Hana Bank Championship 2012, played from October 19-21 in South Korea. She finished
third, giving a glimmer of hope to her fans that she is still able to make a comeback.
The Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship was the scene of a tough battle that saw Tseng rise to the third position. Although she was defending her title, finishing third led her critics to believe
that the world number one still poses a threat to rivals.
Capping off the Asian tour in impressive style, Tseng recorded a fourth-place finish at Mizuno Classic 2012.
Although the Taiwanese star is still struggling to get back on track, the recent improvement in her performance reflects that she is going to give a tough time to rivals in the 2013 season.
With the 2012 season ending at the CME Group Titleholders 2012, scheduled to be held from November 15-18 at Naples, Florida, Tseng will look to cap off the year with a win.
