Yani Tseng is confident to lead the Kraft Nabisco Championship
LPGA star, Yani Tseng is the leading player at the Kraft Nabisco Championship in Rancho Mirage, California, and is confident to win the title again.
This tournament has great importance being the first major of women’s golf.
On the other hand, where all the men are heading to Augusta to play the Masters, all the leading women professional players are speaking about the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
The purse of the first major is $2,000,000 and it is scheduled from March 29 to April 1, at the Mission Hills Country Club.
The 23-year-old Taiwanese professional golf player is in the field of the tournament and is hoping to be the winner by delivering her best on the course.
"I'm working hard and those accomplished goals, that winning, is making it all pay off," Tseng said.
"I expect to win every week. Every player wants to win the tournament. We won't come here to finish second, so we're always trying to do our best to play well on every tournament".
The current number one is the winner of the 2010 edition of the Kraft Nabisco Championship. She bagged the triumph with a one-stroke lead.
She played a tremendous game there and won the title by defeating Suzann Pettersen.
In the previous year, she finished on the second and was disheartened about losing the leading position.
"I know my emotional control wasn't very good. I was very stressful after I missed a putt, after I made a bad shot," Tseng said after finishing second.
She continued, "But after that tournament, I had a little meeting with my team, my trainer, to see how much I can improve on the tournament, and I did after that".
Tseng started focusing on her swing and strokes after that and successfully improved her golfing skills.
She is the winner of 12 events in 2011. Her confident behaviour is on a continuous trend, as she already started winning titles in the current year as well.
Tseng played five tournaments and has won three out of them. This was the most amazing start of any season in her career.
Now the Taiwanese will be cheering her fans and followers at the Mission Hills Country Club. She is enough confident and determined to maintain her domination at the upcoming major event.
