Yani Tseng is leading the Honda LPGA that is being held at Thailand (Fixed headline)
World number one player posted an eagle on the eighteenth to secure the third round lead at the Honda LPGA Thailand. Posting a two under 70 at the Siam Country Club in Thailand, Tseng is now one shot ahead of American Michelle
Wei and South Korean In-Kyung Kim.
Winning twice on the Ladies European Tour in Australia, the player arrived quite poised to play in Thailand. The Taiwanese started off her third round on the wrong foot as she made a double bogey. Things got better however when Yani birdied four out of the
next six holes.
The 2010 Rolex player of the year, Tseng made another birdie on the 15thn only to bogey the following two holes. When things looked dire and gloomy, there came the remarkable eagle on the eighteenth that put
the bubbly player in the lead.
"It was a very exciting finishing eagle, that's for sure," said Tseng. "And it's nice to have a one-shot lead over I.K. and Michelle. It was better for me today. I had a tough start with a double bogey on the second hole, but I had a good comeback and I
stayed really patient today. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. If I bogey a hole (on Sunday), I'll birdie the next hole. Keep smiling and relax.”
Nice technique new world number one has for herself and hopefully she attained her third straight victory. As for the American Wie, she also didn’t have a good time on front nine and
she made three bogeys in the four holes. Things got better as Michelle birdied the last two holes and posted a one-under 71 in the third round.
The golfing legend Paul Creamer dropped down to tie for fourth place. Suffering from a thumb injury last season, Creamer is pumped up for this season. Creamer made three consecutive birdies and is currently two shots off the pace. Paula said that this time
last year she was seeing the doctors. With the mishap taking place in Thailand, Creamer is thrilled to be back here and wants to give herself an opportunity.
