Yani Tseng regains momentum after finishing 11th at Safeway Classic 2012

Current world number one Yani Tseng has finally put an end to her lacklustre performance as she finished 11th at the Safeway Classic 2012.
Tseng could not clinch a victory at the Safeway Classic, but a good finish, after a string of defeats that saw her miss the cut in several tournaments, is being appreciated by her fans.
Tseng, who hails from Taiwan, kicked off the tournament with plenty of confidence and did not let her nerve derail her. She shot an overall 210 — a score good enough to offset the impact of her grim performance
in recent tournaments.
The Taiwanese star started the current season in grand style as she won three tournaments. However, she got off her winning track and saw a performance slump.
Now that the top-ranked prodigy has managed to end her lacklustre form, she can be expected to make headway on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour.
The tournament played before Safeway Classic 2012 saw Tseng falter throughout the four rounds, but she came up with a solid plan this time and recorded a decent finish.
Tseng’s performance was stunning in the second round of Safeway Classic 2012 as she fired a 67. Despite making a sensible start, the LPGA giant could not maintain her momentum in the third round and ended up
carding a 73.
Analysts said that avid fans have been waiting to see Tseng in her best form again, but a comeback in the United States is certainly going to help her do even better in the coming tournaments.
Speaking to the media at the end of the tournament, Tseng said that she is pretty happy after performing well. She said that she focused on making balanced strokes, which helped her finish strong.
“It's so much better.  I fought hard.  I mean, I made birdie on 15, 16, and I had a little weird on number 9, and number 12 and 13, I hit into the water. This course goes straight, so I hit it in there like
three or four times this week.  So hopefully next year I'll come back and I can play better,” Tseng said.
“I feel good.  I feel like I can really start next week.  My golf game was right there.  It's incredible.  I'm really appreciative finishing 11th”.
