Yankee Fans, Would You take Greg Maddux For a one year rental, for this season....?

To help fill out the Rotation... He has pitched MUCH better than the numbers indicate. Experienced, Pitched in big games before.. and would fill out the Rotation better than Ponson or Rasner.

I wouldn't take him, Ponson out. He has gone 6-2 this year. He has been 4-1 with the Yankees. He has played in San Diego a pitchers park and he stinks there so you are pitching to guys who only have to hit 314 down the line. For only one year won't help. They need to get someone younger. They need to make a deal real quickly.

I have heard that he only wants to be traded to a team on the West Coast. Buster Olney on ESPN said the Dodgers are one of the only options and even that is not likely.

Maddux is amazing no matter what anyone says. I'd take him for as long as i can get him. He'd really help us out.

Maddux is good but if I'm right I don't think he''s ever pitched in the AL. I think they would just knock his 40 year old a** around.

He may have to adjust to the AL. The hitting is a lot better, but i dont see why not try and get him if you are the yankees, Rasner started out promising, but he is just a fill in and who knows when or if hughes, kennedy or for heavens sake Carl Pavano come back. And hes a proven pitcher that has pitched in the postseason, he did play for the braves that went to 14 straight playoffs so he could deff help out the rotation, and Ponson is another fill in that has just found a team that provide runs for him. He could win a 1-0 game if his life depended on it, its always a high scoring game when hes in there.
