I know none of you are crying Farnsworth is gone.We had him in 2005-we can't believe DUMB-rowski did such a stupid move. You will love him for his pitcher handling(although Pettite did get rocked yesterday)-Pudge doesn't have Posada's bat,but he has the catching skills. You got a STEAL!

  1. The yankees may have been the biggest swindlers at this trade deadline. the got pudge for farsnworth whose stock was at its peak when we traded him..if he reverts to his old farnsworth self the tigers are going to look very foolish

and the yanks got nady and marte for some prospects..other teams wanted these guys but the pirates were asking for too much apparently

the yanks roll in with 3 pitching prospects and 1 of prosepcts (the pitching im worried about but our outfield prospects are stacked)  and the pirates throw nady and marte at us for very little

  2. it was a fine deal the tigers needed a reliever and the yankees nedded a catcher with an arm and a bat

  3. Well, Farnsworth was having a pretty good year so far, but you guys definitely got ripped off.  Although, I was happy with what Molina was doing, and didn't really see a need to get Pudge, but we only had to give up Farnsworth...

  4. Yes

  5. Didn't Detroit need an 8th inning bullpen guy? And reports were that Pudge was unhappy and wanted out of Detroit. Its about filling needs and both teams did that. It was a good deal from an unbiased standpoint.

  6. It was a good deal because pudge didnt want to be on the tigers and yea im glad farnsworth is gone.

  7. I was one of the few Yankee fans to think very highly about Farnsworth.  Torre was a horrible pitcher manager, and as a result the last two years have been rough for him.  Girardi on the other hand has created one of the best bullpen's in modern history, and Farnsworth was really starting to take off.  The thing about him is that he needs to be in a situation where he is comfortable in order to perform to the best of his ability.  He had a special bond with Girardi, and it really came out this year.  If he doesn't perform for you, I get the impression that the Yankees wouldn't hesitate to sign him in the post season.

Getting anyone who can throw a 104 mile an hour fastball consistently is not a raw deal.

  8. PUGE WAS MY FAVORITE PLAYER!!!! WE DID GET RIPPED OFF PUGE DID NOT NEED TO GO TO NEW YORK!!!!!

  9. yeah, i actually feel kinda bad. i mean, if i were the Tigers, i'd consider it an INSULT to think that farnsworth is worth pudge. I mean i would've offered the twins some minor leaguers too or at least a little better pitcher.
