  1. No, but I definitely see the Yankees fading.

  2. if they are fakers howcome last year they sucked and all of a suden there better this year thats not luck thats skill

  3. Rays are doing very well but they do have some games with both the Red Sox & Yankees in September & I wish the Rays luck but I still wouldn't count neither the Yankees or Red Sox just yet.  Division is still up for grabs & may the better team win whoever it may be.

  4. No, they are definitely talented, but they have a hard schedule in September.

They should still make the playoffs though.

  5. neither do i,i think they are the overall 3rd best team in baseball, not much behind the cubs or angels considering they swept both of them, scratch that.they are the 2nd best, behind only the angels.

i see them winning the AL East and making it to the ALCS and having a tough battle with the angels in that series,i cant predict who would come out on top just yet though

but..the rays do have a tough september schedule, that is when we will find out how good they really are, they have dealt with the pressure great so far this year,(sweeping of the red sox, angels, white sox, cubs, and tigers, all were sellouts)

so i think they will make it

  6. i never thought they were fakers, i don't think they will fade..

  7. Looks like they are the real deal and won't fade. People were saying that because a lot of times in sports, we see a young team who has never really been in the playoff race before fall towards the end. Its is still yet to be determined where the Rays end up in October, but they have not showed any signs of slowing down in the second half.

The true test for them is from September 2nd - 17th when they play 12 games against the Yankees and Red Sox in a 15 game span.

  8. I never thought that they were fakers, this year I have saw them as contenders. Better them than the red sox.

  9. Nah,i think they are for real.

  10. i don't think they're fakers.they are getting better.i hope they win the AL east too.

  11. i don't know? i like the yankees, and i have been waiting for the rays to fade all year, but they haven't, but they are a young team and once the playoffs come, if they do, they will most likely crack under pressure

  12. I don't understand how people are saying that the Rays will fade away and no one will remember them. You don't just forget about a team that goes from being the worst team in baseball, to being one of the best (possibly THE best)... IN ONE YEAR.

There's about 2 months left of the season and the Rays are still going strong. The have the 2nd best record in baseball... even with several injuries.

I've been a fan of the Rays since I moved to Florida about 3 years ago.

  13. I think they will win the Division this year, but probably get swept out of the first round by someone like Anaheim.

They still could choke, but I doubt it.

I would like to see the Rays do good.

    Twins fan.

  14. I think it's a little late in the season and with their 3 game lead, it shows that they arent fakers

  15. Red Sox might be fading without Manny. I think the reason Rays is still up there. One is that they are actually good. Another is that bothYankees and Red sox is not playing up to their potential.

I would love to see Rays win the division and Yanks not going to the post season even though I predicted Yankees should have a monster second half. Not really happening.

  16. Far from fakers and far from fading out. They are NOT The Brewers.

I jumped on The Rays fab bandwagon mid-late last season. Noticed the team they were putting together and liked it/them. Makes it difficult for me, being a Yankees fan more so, yet hopeful both will make it to playoffs and knock out Boston.

Rays have been continually under rated, under appreciated all season and you are right. many awaited for their demise. This team wont fall, cause they have it all, andmore importantly consistency. They at times play "small ball", like the Braves used to and win games. They have one of the better pitching staffs in the league and has been ranked within top 7 all season ( Now 4th ). They have timely hitting, good defense, and mostly due to Upton, run the bases quite well. More importantly, they continue to have the best record within their division, and that will be a key factor come the closing moments to the regular season. Perhaps rays like it better this way, with hardly any recognition. For now.
