  1. id say go for the prospects

pirates arent going to be winning anything soon so they might as well be preparing for the future. cabrera is young and has a pretty bright future ahead of himself. so hopefully the pirates get some good prospects out of the deal

  2. I havent heard that but I think the Pirates wouldnt be getting enough for that.

  3. They betttttterrrrr not give up melky cabrera. The guys so young and already an outstanding center fielder who will only get better

  4. the yankees would be extremely stupid to even be considering that kind of trade, but that's brian cashman for ya...trading away the future of the pitching staff and the future leadoff hitter to get one declining outfielder and one overrated outfielder

  5. just found this. http://www.nj.com/yankees/ledger/index.s... . it looks like if the yankees are willing to give up some of their prospects, which looks like a good idea now after watching hughes and kennedy pitch, they could add jason bay and xavier nady. im not sure they need both of them, i think jason bay or xavier nady and demaso marte would be a great deal to help out the bullpen and help make up what was lost with hideki matsui and jorge posada. and the pirates GM has said that melky cabrera does not interest them but if he did go i would want both bay and nady

  6. I hope so, but I doubt it will happen. I think they're finished making major deals for position players. If it did happen, though, I'd prefer Nady over Bay. Better average, more consistant.

  7. Well if they haven't yet so obviously they won't be for a long time. Hopefully Melky Stay's. I'm a huge Yankee fan so I want him to stay ,but whatever is best for the team.

  8. It's possible that we may see a deal take place. The Yankees need a right handed bat in their lineup if they want to get to the post-season.

Melky would definetely be a part of any deal. I would hate to see Hughes or Kennedy go.

  9. The Yankees just signed Sexson to be an extra bat for them so i doubt it...You guys don't wanna give up Melky Cabrera he's young and has good future ahead of him.
