  1. A win is a win, and they're always good -- but this one was a 3-2 squeaker that required a bottom of the ninth, near-miracle rally (Pudge taking a walk? That NEVER happens!!!).

Yankees fans who are still hoping for a string of 9-3, 12-0, 15-1 powerhouse beatings (in their favor) are going to (continue to) be disappointed.

  2. No.

The Yankees winning today had to do with finally capitalizing when runners were on base.

  3. He just hit a ball that happened to be a HR, so what

  4. Giambi is not worthy of that nickname.

  5. Closed meetings have nothing to do with it. Hit hit a homer run off of Boston's weak link.

Boston may have beat the yanks but their team is weak compared to last year. Rays or Angels can easily wipe them out if they make the playoffs.

  6. Closed door meanings are vastly overrated.  In the long term they have little if any effect.  They were just due to win a game.  In the end it will not matter as they Yankees will miss the playoffs this season.
