Yankees bull pen is far superior.  If they hit a ton, which they usually do when they play the Sox, they'll take a few.  Don't know about all of them.  The Red Sox just went 12 innings against the worst team in baseball last night.  They are falling fast.

the yanks are hot right now so its possible..but they have Joba going up against Beckett on friday, which will be a tough pitching matchup. pettite and wakefield on saturday which i think pettite has the advantage there. and the yanks haven't named sunday's starter yet but he will face Lester, who has been practically lights out as of late

I honestly think the Yankees will beat them 2 games out of 3.  And if they're really playing good like the have been, they'll sweep them.  Lately the Yankees have had outstanding pitching and they've been scoring runs.  They have won 6 games in a row so far, sweeping The Athletics and Twins.  They have also won 10 games in a row at home.  The Yankees will either win 2 out of 3 or sweep them.

I get the sense that, to Yankee fans, if they sweep, they will sense this is the tide that turns, but if in reality, Boston ends up sweeping, then Yankee fans will say that it really means nothing, it's one series.

Beckett vs. Chamberlain Friday

Beckett is 3-0 this year vs. them, but isn't good. Chamberlain is good against them too.

Pettitte is usually good against them and he's been on a roll lately, and Wakefield sucks against them.

BTW, Papelbon blow 2 saves against the Yankees and last year A-Rod got a GW homer against him.

Yankees are going into the series hot, which is always good. But the Sox took three from Seattle and always play well at Fenway.

Much of a Yankees fan as I am, I'm gonna say Boston takes 2 of 3 and one of the games is a nailbiter (1 or 2 runs deciding it). I hope I'm wrong and the Yankees get two or three wins, but the Sox are 36-11 at home this year. That's difficult to overcome.

But we Yankees fans can always look back two years ago to the 5-game Boston Massacre, Pt. 2 and see that it's possible.
