Yankees got Pudge?

Yankees just got Ivan (Pudge) Rodriguez from the Detroit Tigers for RHP Kyle Farnsworth...I'm a big yankee fan and im pumped up to see Pudge in pinstripes...but did Detroit get ripped off?

Yea Ivan is a really good catcher and pretty much hitter but what is the rotation with Jorge Posada and Ivan Rodriguez?

i honestly think the yankees got the short end of the deal. Yankees need pitching, both starting and relief. Having a high powered offence is great for the regular season, but as we saw last year, pitching wins the playoff games. It would have been no different if they would have called someone up, because none of those pitches have ever been caught by pudge, so no matter who you get behind the plate its a new guy. also the yankees need youth on that team, these old veterans are not cutting it. I just think that they should have given less for pudge, maybe a prospect, oh wait the already gave all those away. WHen the yankees were winning world series, most of those playes in the late 90's eairly 20's were brought up from the farm system, they need to do the same again

Yank's got better side of deal, but Detroit doesn't need Pudge. Remember, Inge is a good cather also.

Yup Pudge was one of the best players in detroit. Also even yankee fans did not really like Kyle Farnsworth.

I say Detroit did. Kyle is a great pitcher you just don't know what you're going to get from him on a nightly bases. Yankees won in this trade big time.

Yeah they did but it was probably tough to move him because of his contract 12 mil this year and the tough position he has played for awhile.
