This is funny because I really don't care for the Yankees and I live around Toronto, but....

The Maple Leafs are just like the Yankees except the Yankees are successful.

The Maple Leafs over spend for people out of their prime as well, but at least the Yankees make the playoffs.

The Maple Leafs, under a salary cap now show that they can't compete without spending all the money and luckily, the Yankees aren't forced to do that yet.

In Hockey, I'm an Islander fan.

Love hockey, don't mind the Maple Leafs (Rangers fan), but the Yankees win. They have a better history, they're more successful, they play in a better city and the Yankees have had more legends than just about any other team in any pro sports league in North America About the only thing they have in common is that they're both hated immensely in their respective countries. But they're also among the most loved.

Yanks got this hands down.
