  1. Oh, they can afford them.  They can afford to sign any player in the Majors.

  2. of course they can afford them but i doubt the brewers will let go of CC

  3. They'll go after both, but they'll only probably sign just one of them.

  4. I think they need and will get CC.

  5. Okay as a die-hard Yankee fan, I have to comment on several things with this question.

    1) The Yankees are not dumb and will go for CC. The only problem? He has stated several times he wants to stay in the West Coast. He just built a new house there as well, so he does not want to go to the Yankees. However, the Yankees will offer him a ridiculous amount of money and he would be stupid to turn it down. I mean come on who doesn't want to play for a championship team and make 30 million a year? I would if I could!

    2) Sheets, Harden, and others will be back up plans in case of no CC. The Yankees don't need a lot because I for see them bringing Petite and Moose back. They already have Wang, Chamberlain, Hughes. They don't need to over spend.

    3) Along with top pitching, the Yankees are also going to go after Texiera. I don't see the point of that. Whether I agree or not is not the point, but it's up to Cashman and the Boys.

    4) Chamberlain is going to be a starting pitcher and YOU ARE CRAZY if you think he should be in the pen. That is a waste of an arm. He has been superb for the Yankees and quite frankly, the only bright part of a horrible season this year. He will be the Yankee's top man and deserves to be. He has huge talent and will prove all those "stay in the bullpen" people wrong, even more than he already has.

    5) I have a feeling (and God I hope I'm right) that Hughes will finally pitch to his potential. He is amazing and so far reports have said he is finally back to the old Hughes we all came to know and love. He will be in the rotation as the number 4 or 5 and will have to prove himself again. I hope the kid does because he can be a solid number 3 in the future.

    6) Kennedy has been a rude awakening for the organization. This is the kid they refused to trade for Johan Santana and has proved them wrong and left a bad taste in his mouth. I don't know whether he will get another chance in the big leagues with this ball club but he can be a legit 4 or 5 guy. I foresee him landing somewhere in a trade for a bigger bat. He has a lot to prove and don't think he has what it takes in New York. I hope he proves me wrong, but that is just what I feel.

  6. first off yankees can afford to buy themselves three more times....anyway the yankees need chamberlin right now, how can you say they dont, they are down 8 1/2 games, they also dont have strong starting pitching right now, if they sign cc and sheets they will have 3 awesome young pitchers plus peddite who is pitching good right now plus ponsone who is also a good pitcher, so this would be a huge move for the yankees who despretly need a big move.

  7. CC was 6-8 in the AL with a 3.83 ERA. Now he is 7-0 with a 1.60 ERA. He is clearly a NL Pitcher. Ben Sheets. Not needed. The last thing we need is another over-priced player.

    However.

They should chase mark teixera as their bats are so incredibly weak.
