True, very true. and they're hot right now. Unlike the rest of the teams temporarily a head of them. Boston is lukewarm at best, and the Rays seem to be back to their old selves. This has all happened before. Boston needs much more of a lead to keep the Yanks from catching them in the stretch.

Yanks have great offense but their pitching staff is questionable, bullpen can only be relied upon when Rivera has the ball, the bench is weak, and the farm and youth are overrated, especially Kennedy.

Haha I love how that guy said the Phillies are better....  I would love to see them try to compete in the AL, especially in the East.

Anyway, currently I wouldn't say the best but they're up there.  People make excuses for why the Yankees are bad but you can turn around and say the same thing about their team.  I think it proves they're among the best when they lose their ace (Wang) and are still able to creep closer to the Wild Card and the division lead.

As a franchise, there is no doubt that the Yankees are the best team.  Anyone who says otherwise is arrogant and should just shut their mouths because they have more titles than any other team in sports.

Being a Yankee fan, I know they aren't the best team in baseball & the Angels may have the best record, but unless they can beat Boston, yes they did just finished sweeping them but in a play off situation Boston has been proven to be the better team.  Yankees do make play offs even though the haters say no.
