They're on a tear! All our bats are heating up, except the never-dependable Melky. Cano can't stop hitting. Damon doesn't seem to have lost anything since his return. A-Rod is doing great, Molina is a HUGE part of this team. Even our pitching has been solid lately. I honestly expected that from Ponson, but Rasner had a great start yesterday, almost lost the game b/c of the bad call at first. Yankees will take the division by 4.5 games. And if not, there's no WAY they won't make the playoffs as the WC, I expect a major push.

I forgot to mention Edwar Ramirez, Farnsworth, and Mariano's lights-out pitching recently. Mussina is on pace for his first 20-win season of his career, and Pettitte seems to be showing signs of improvement. BUT TRADE MELKY TO GET A QUALITY RELIEVER OR SOMEONE THAT CAN HELP GET OUTS. He is NOT helping us.

Yes.  They come back after the all-star break every year.  I forget which year it was but recently (within 3 years ago) they had about a .700 win percentage after the break.

The Yankees are a play off contender.  They are a better second half team & are on a winning streak.  Never count the Yankees out & only 3 1/2 games out, not even close to being counted out.  The haters will always say Yankees won't make play offs, but the Yankees prove them wrong

The Yankees are just 3.5 games out of first place in a very good AL east division.  They will be in the mix for a playoff spot for the rest of the season.

Of course they are going to make it to the playoffs. but they might not make it all they way? they are sure to win the wild card or the AL east they are only a few games behind from boston!!

The people who will tell you "no" to this question don't know much about baseball.  The Yankees are only 3.5 back from Tampa Bay and 3 games behind Boston.  That's NOTHING.  Boston was further back than that before the Rays went on a 7 game losing streak, and no one tried to claim that Boston was out of the race.  

The Yankees will definitely make a big push down the stretch here, and I cannot WAIT to see what the Rays and Red Sox fans have to say when suddenly they realize that the team they love to hate is NOT out of it by any stretch of the imagination.

The people who say "no" are idiots/haters.  They were 7 1/2 back at this time last year and still won the wild card.

If they keep on winning and  there ball-pen is  keeps on doing well , but they must first split or win there games with Boston. The Yankees or Boston will catch up with Tampa. If the Yankees can put together a good second half they will make the play-offs, they are only 4 games back from 1st place in the East and 2 games back in the Wild-card. They are always a threat!
