Question:

Yanks aren't saying... How bad is Joba hurt?

I say that it is serious. Second opinion required by Andrews is not a good sign. Also I read that Joba referred to a "pop" that he felt. That is not good.

I hate the Yankees, but I want him to be well. Beating teams at less tan full capacity is an empty feeling.

  1. Not that worried yet. I think he misses two, maybe three starts at best. It's still a blow, but I think he'll come back OK. I hope I'm right.

  2. Players dont go see Dr. Andrews for nothing.

  3. Well I really don't care cause I'm a Sox fan but either way I have to answer the question. It has something to do with his shoulder which isn't a good sign for any pitcher. I don't really think that it's that bad but he will probably miss 1-4 starts in the rotation.

  4. If you go see Dr. Andrews it means there's a problem. It's a shoulder, so it won't be Tommy John surgery, but my best guess right now is that the next time we see Joba it will be 2009.

I don't like the Yankees but I'm a baseball fan first. Seeing a great young pitcher like that go down is always sad. Let's hope it's not Mark Prior all over again.

  5. It's career ending and he can't throw another pitch again.

  6. Anytime Your Hear A "Pop", You Have A Major Problem, Rupture, Break, Sprain Whatever, A Pop Is Not Somethin Good.

  7. well...either way, the yankees are at a less than full capacity...people dont realize how devastating the injuries have been to the yankees this year...now with joba out the yankees have...count them...4, yes 4 starters on the dl...how many teams in the major leagues would be in contention with 4 starters on the dl...including chien ming wang, a cy young contender last yr...not to mention the loss of posada...damons been out on and off all year...jeters been out, arods been out, matuis out....honestly....if this extent of injury happened to any other team in the league, including the angels, red sox ext....where would they be...ill tell ya...right down the tube...if the yankees were healthy, the east wouldnt even be a contest

  8. not bad. Its a strained right colateral ligament in the outer phrame of his throwing shoulder. mayyyybe miss 1-2 starts

  9. I Honestly dont think its just when i heard the name Dr. Andrews i cringed to be honest

  10. pitchers and bad shoulders dont usually go well with eachother

i think its worse than what they are trying to make the public believe. prob take a few weeks off and h**l be back. the yanks cant afford to lsoe his for a while though

  11. Done for the season. He will never make another quality start. He will be in the pen next year.
