The Stade Rennais star has come under some heavy criticism off late but says that the reporters and the way they criticise him doesn’t bother him at all
Yann M’Vila came to Stade Rennais as a teenager in 2004 and his career at the Brittany club is about to end  on a sad note. The midfielder is destined to leave the club this summer and his departure now comes under some really harsh circumstances.
The Frenchman has become the laughing stock of all the fans especially after the club’s Coupe de France semifinal defeat at the hands of Quevilly.
On Monday against OGC Nice, the defensive midfielder was hissed and booed by his own fans everytime he touched the ball. Soon after the defeat to Quevilly, M’Vila was heckled by fans and almost came to blows with one at Piverdiere.
However, while talking to media, the youngster chose not to talk about the recent harsh treatment he has received from fans. Instead, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international chose to express his annoyance and anger at journalists who have been criticising him.
The player says that he has nothing to answer to those reporters and criticised journalists for expecting him to do things that players in his position don’t do.
“There are many who say I’m worse. That’s what they think. I have nothing to answer to them. They expect too much from me. I try to do my best. If a coach says that I was useless, that would hurt me but if a journalist says that no, you were only there,
it will make me laugh.”
M’Vila then said that he does not deny that he is going through a rough patch and has said that he will come back stronger.
The young defensive midfielder has been a fairly competitive and consistent performer for Frederic Antonetti’s men in recent season. The current bad patch is a rare one for the player so fans must be patient with him.
Furthermore, the player is playing his last few games for a club where he has been so good so fans must look to give him a decent sending off rather than booing him all over the park.
