Yashica Samurai Video 8 playback

I own a Yashica Samurai Video 8, which has a problem with the playback.I hit play and then the video plays for 3 seconds, then it stops and the 'CAUTION' light becomes lit. I have hours of home movies on this camera and would really like to see them again, as well as put them on VHS.any help is appreciated
