Discarded Pakistani top-order batsman, Yasir Hameed, is keen to make a comeback to international cricket and plans to meet the new Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Zaka Ashraf, so that he can clear his differences with PCB.
Yasir has been out of international cricket since the controversial tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 in 2010 when an English tabloid, News of the World leaked a secret video of the right-handed batsman, when he revealed some things about spot-fixing.
However, the top order batsman from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 since the last couple of seasons and the cricket analysts in the country are urging the national selectors to give him another chance at the
highest stage of the game.
Yasir burst into the scene of international cricket in 2003 when he scored hundreds in each innings in his Test debut against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 at Karachi. He did perform brilliantly for his country for a couple of years but some inconsistent performances led to
his omission from the national team. Since then, he has been in and out of the Pakistan team.
While speaking to Pakpassion the right-handed batsman expressed that he is going to meet http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashraf-c46397 very soon and wants to discuss the whole situation with him.
“I've heard that the new Chairman is keen to speak with cricketers who have any grievances and I am looking to meet with him soon. I know that other cricketers have met Mr Ashraf and openly discussed any issues and I will look to speak with him very soon."
Yasir is representing Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) in the Quaid e Azam Trophy 2011-12 division, and the right-handed batsman has been scoring some very important runs for the bank. Considering his good form, Yasir is very hopeful that he can still
deliver the goods for the Green Shirts at the highest stage of the game.
"I've been in decent form this season and have reached 50 on five occasions with one century. I feel I am still good enough and fit enough for international cricket and just need to clear a few things up with the Chairman", he added.
