Discarded Pakistani top-order batsman, Yasir Hameed, is happy for the uncapped players who have been allowed to showcase their skills in the upcoming tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 but feels that he has been hard done even after some impressive
performances in domestic cricket.
Hameed made his international debut in 2003 and remained an integral part of the Green Shirts for a couple of years before losing his place in the national team. The stylish right-handed batsman was predicted for a bright future
but his international career has been hampered, even though Yasir has an impressive record in both limited-overs cricket and the longer version of the sport.
The 34-year-old cricketer has been out of the national team since 2010, after his controversial hidden interview with the News of the World, a British tabloid, surfaced.
The right-handed batsman has been performing exceptionally well in the national cricket since last couple of years for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) and also for Abbottabad. However, he has been continuously ignored by
the national selectors.
While talking to Pakpassion, the cricketer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Peshawar-c832 expressed that he was expecting a comeback to the national team for the tour of Sri Lanka but the selectors have continued to deprive him with an opportunity
to revive his international career.
“I had some good scores in the Pentangular Trophy and the T20 tournaments and was confident of making it to the squad for Sri Lanka but unfortunately, the selectors did not see this in the same light and made the decision that
they felt was right,” said Hameed.
However, the seasoned campaigner is happy with the fact that PCB has given chances to some new batsmen for the upcoming series, who have been consistently scoring runs in first-class cricket. Yasir especially mentioned the left-handed
batsman from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Haris-Sohail-c61503, and feels that the youngster has a bright future.
“I am also very pleased to see some of the really good youngsters such as Afaq Rahim and Haris Sohail amongst the selected team members, as well as the experienced Ayub Dogar. Haris Sohail, in particular is known to me and I
