After enjoying a successful loan-spell at Arles, Mohamed Yattara vows to return to his parent club and establish himself as a first team player under Remi Garde
Muhammad Yattara was loaned out to Arles by Lyon in order to give the Guinean a taste of rigors of French football. The youngster exceeded everyone’s expectations and performed brilliantly last season. And now, Yattara hopes for a return to his parent club
and wants to be an integral part of Remi Garde’s side.
The Guinean enjoyed a terrific campaign at Arles last season where he managed to score 5 goals and provide 2 assists in 18 appearances. String of excellent performances earned him huge praise from fans and pundits and that has not been ignored by the bosses
at OL.
Yattara wants to build on from those performances and hopes for a chance with Les Gones. While talking to reporters, the 18-year-old striker vowed to do everything to convince Remi Garde to give him a chance to shine at OL. The youngster has become tired
of playing in lower league and wants to kick-start his career in Ligue 1.
"I want to play in Ligue 1. Playing in Ligue 2 is inspiring but after sometime players get tired and want to move on. It works sometime but usually it doesn’t.”
Praising Remi Garde, Yattara cited that Lyon are lucky to have such a brilliant coach at their disposal. The Guinean hoped that Remi Garde will continue his tradition of giving chance to young players.
“I want to start in Ligue 1. We're lucky to have Remi Garde who looks after young prayers. He is an asset for players like me."
Muhammad Yattara criticised previous coach of the side, Claude Puel who did not give him a chance to shine at Lyon. However, the youngster believes that with Remi Garde in the Hot-seat, things would surely be different this time.
“Claude Puel did not give me my chance, but with Remi Garde, I am hoping to get a chance to prove myself at Lyon.”
Player with such high ambitions will certainly please Remi Garde. And it is expected that Yattara will get a chance to prove himself in Ligue 1 next season as he is believed to have a promising future.
