Yay i got my new betta?

Question

he is in a 2.5 gallon filtered and heated

1. what should i name him (hes red)

2. the lady at the shop said he had not been fed yet should i feed him

3.how can i tell his age

he was $10.90 thats cheap were i live most are $20-30

he was in a community tank when i bought him

i bought nutra-fin betta flakes 35% protein i think

2. Put a few flakes see if he eats any in the next 5 minutes if not remove all uneaten food

You could name him Roy, in Scots Gaelic ruadh, pronounced like Roy, means red ;)

You could call him Rubin. Its Croatian, Swedish, and Romanian for ruby.

I don't know how to tell the age of a betta. I think it'd take an super expert to do that and I don't know if its even possible.
