Yaya Touré heading to Premier League

We all knew that Yaya Touré would be heading out of Barcelona, and the stories this morning are saying that he is on his way to the Premier League with a deal already struck.

The player’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, claims a deal has been agreed for him to come to England, and all will be revealed before the World Cup.

Touré fell out of favour at the Camp Nou after losing his place in the first team to Sergio Busquets.

It had been reported that the Ivory Coast star would be used as part of a deal to lure Cesc Fàbregas away from the Emirates, but it is understood that Touré’s preferred destination would be Manchester United, Chelsea or Manchester City.

But a story emerged this morning that Liverpool are the latest club hoping to land the Ivory Coast star, with a possible swap deal involving Javier Mascherano.

Seluk said: “If everything goes well, Yaya will go to England. But we can't talk about definite clubs. We already have a closed deal, and all will be resolved before the World Cup.”
