Yaya Touré to be used as part of Cesc Fàbregas deal

Barcelona will continue to step up their interest to sign Cesc Fàbregas by throwing in Yaya Touré as part of the deal.

According to Touré’s agent Dimitri Seluk, he believes that Arsenal are showing a great interest in the Ivory Coast anchorman.

Barcelona had an initial bid of around £29million rejected for Fàbregas last week, with Arsenal insisting their captain was not for sale.

Touré has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with Manchester City poised to sign him and reunite him with his brother Kolo. However, a deal to go to Man City looks unlikely now.

“Everything has changed with City, because they talk a lot but then afterwards they don't appear to be a rich club but rather a bankrupt one,” said Seluk.

Seluk revealed last week a deal had been signed to come to England, but did not say who the English club was. Now, he is indicating his client will be used in a swap deal plus cash to bring Fàbregas back to the Camp Nou.

“There's a lot of interest in the deal (for Touré). Arsène Wenger likes him and Arsenal are interested. If the conditions are good, everything can be finished soon. He could come into the Cesc deal and Barca and Arsenal are struggling to come to an agreement,” said Seluk.
