heroics saved the day for the home side. The champions are a staggering nine points behind their city rivals, who defeated Southampton in their respective fixture.
Toure feels that there are still many games to play for and is confident that his team can repeat the heroics from the previous campaign. The Noisy Neighbours, as United fans call them, scored an injury time goal in the last game
of the season to lift their first English Premier League title last year.
“We are further behind than we'd like, of course, but all we need to do is think about last season to know what is possible,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Ivory Coast international admitted that United have a very good side and that they clearly have the advantage, but he has refused to give up. The midfielder insists that City will fight till the end and will try to take all
their chances in the remaining course of the season.
“United have a strong squad and, on paper, they have an easier run in than we do but the title race is a long way from finished. It only takes a couple of results to go our way and we're right back in it - I'm sure we'll come back,”
he continued.
Toure reiterated his commitment to the club and denied any rumours linking him with a move to his former club, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Barcelona-c39078.
“My friends are all here and are happy to see me and we are like a family or brothers who will all fight together - and that is a very important thing to have,” he concluded.
The player has been widely tipped for a summer switch to the Camp Nou as the former European champions look to further strengthen their squad.
