Yeah it wouldnt even let me use the pic on my yahoo 360 page..im lost when it comes to computer work.?

UPDATED: If you don't have a picture that is in JPEG format, meaning the extension part of the file name says .jpg, .jpeg, or .jpe AND the file is not under 5MB in file size, you will need to make adjustments.

Microsoft Paint is on most Windows computers with Microsoft software in the Accessories programs section.

- Open Paint, then open that GIF image file from within Paint.

- Click the File Menu, and choose "Save As". In the File Type dropdown area of the pop-up box, choose JPEG

- A box will pop up regarding quality, choose OK

- Choose a location to save the image and click "Save".

Now, you have the same image saved but as the proper file type - JPEG. The other issue, depending on where you want to use the image in 360, is file size. For backgrounds, the size has to be 250KB or lower. For other areas, it can be 5MB and lower.

Then, when you are done with your adjustments:

Make sure a JPEG formatted photo (with .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe extension) under 5MB is saved to your hard drive.

- Click your "My Page" link at the top

- Click "Edit Profile Photos" over the empty picture frame

- Click "Browse" and upload photo into an empty field. Then click one "use as primary" radio button on the right before saving.

You can't upload more than 4 profile pictures (this includes an avatar). Make sure that you are following the 360 Personal Photo guidelines here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui... .

If you want the image on Yahoo! Answers, come back to Yahoo! Answers. Click the "My Profile" link to the upper right of this Yahoo! Answers page, then click "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the image section and check the option of showing the 360 picture. Click Preview and then the OK button.

NOTE: This is not a good time to try adding a 360 pic to Y/A, as there have been glitches these past few days.

The image may not show up right away in Y/A, as it sometimes take days for the system to catch up. Also, there is a history of glitches with the feature. So, patience is necessary. You'll need to go through the process and have a blank image for a while until the system processes the change. OR you can use a Yahoo! Avatar instead (http://avatars.yahoo.com ) and just wait to see when everyone stops having the same issue, then try to use the 360 image again. It's up to you.

Lastly, it's not always an issue with 360. Yahoo!Answers has glitches of its own sometimes.

-go to yahoo messenger

-click on -->messenger in the upper left hand corner of the  box a drop down menue will appear

-click on -->My Display image

-choose -->share my picture

click -->select

click -->Browse, find the picture you want to use, click -->OK

-be sure the picture you want to use is showing in the preview box,

-click OK,,

When you come onto your 360 page, click above your current picture, Edit My Personal Photos or something like that.

If you do not have a picture of yourself that is JPEG format (jpg) you cannat upload that photo onto your 360 page.

When you try uploading the photo, go into your documents and click on the photo you want only once without opening it. On the bottom of the my documents screen it should say something like jpg or gif or something. jpg is the only one that works.

If you are still stuck with your avatar as your pic and you want to change it, you can go on Google Images and search the picture you want. Then right click the image you want and select "Save picture as...". Name the file and save it onto your computer. Then, go to your 360 page and go to "edit my personal photos". Now, open your documents and select the picture you just got from google. Double click it or select open. Then put in any other photos you would like.

When your done with photos, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select "upload". Uploading photos may take a while sometimes, so be patient. When it loads, your pictures should be all there.

To select whiwh picture you want to be your main one, go into "edit my personal photos" and select the little dot that says something like "make this my personal photo" and upload it.
