  1. Hi

I'm a homeschooling mom and our family travels a lot so we have to be really organized to keep up with everything. Each of my kids has a big pack on wheels that we found in the craft dept at a superstore. It kinda looks like carry-on luggage but opens at the top and has pockets on the outside for supplies. They keep all their current work in there so its easily accessed while extra books, supplies etc. are stored in another, central, area. This way they have everything they need for that week, month, etc. in the pack.

I keep a big planner that I use to write down our weekly and monthly goals, as well as our daily work.

We've just started using a site that allows you to organize your time, still kinda new at it but you should check it out:

    http://www.home-school-inc.com

It's helped us to become more organized as well as given us a place keep records of daily work that can be seen by loved ones who are far away. It's password protected so that the only people who see the site are the people you allow.

I've heard from other online moms (who have more space) that "lapbooking" has helped them. That is, keeping an individual notebook for each subject. Not something we've tried but sounds very interesting and worth looking into.

    Hope this helps you.

  2. home schooled? thats soo cool and lucky, lol well it sounds like it is

  3. hi back!

i think wat you should do first is to make urself believe dat you ve have no oda choice but to stay focused &organised (even if you happen to ve 3sheets filled wiv oda reasons! just be determined, aight?)

then, if you happen to be someone easily distracted, i advice dat you write down positive things on how you can stay focused and carry it  wiv you every where (when/ if neccessary!)

better still just say to urself everytime; i cannot become someone if i'm not focused, organized, determined &so on...

    and believe me......... dats true!

    hope it works.

  5. Hi, I'm a homeschooling mother and one thing that helps me stay organized is to keep things (homework and what not) organized like I did in school. Keep a file for each year, with folders in them for each "subject" so that at the end of the year, or even throughout the year, you know what you've studied, and what you haven't. The other thing I like to do is keep a day planner so that I can write down what we've done for the day, and also can jot down ideas for what we can move to next, so that I don't forget. You could also set targets for yourself with things. If you're doing unit studies, for example you could set a goal to get everything done by the end of the week. Give yourself a list of goals to accomplish, and when you complete them, check them off one by one. I'm not sure how old you are, but if you're able to, you could give yourself some sort of a reward for completing them all within a certain timeframe. You could print up a "Certificate of Completion" and hang it up on the wall to help give you a boost on your accomplishment. Set a specific day and time when you can just go to the library, and pick up something you're interested in (if possible) and then you could write out your thoughts on what you had read. You could also keep a journal too. There are many things you can do to help stay focused and organized. I think it's really great that you're taking charge of your education, and realizing that you need help with staying focused, and organized, but that you're also willing to find out how to get that help too. :-)  Always look for ways that you can do things better, improve, and if there's something you don't know yet.... Discover. I was publicly schooled, but I naturally wanted to know more, always. I did teach myself a lot of things, so homeschool is a natural choice for me and my family. I hope this has helped you!
