Year 11, AQA, ICT coursework advice needed...?

Question

for my up coming year 11 coursework, i have been asked to think of a senario (eg: Busines of some sort) and create something on the computer for this buisnes.

I love building websites using HTML, but my teacher has advised the whole class to only stick to iver a database using access, a spreadsheet using excel or a leaflet using publisher.

My teacher has told me that she would like me to do a database, beause i geus she wants to stretch my knolage, but i am not really into database (boring). so i am really limated to excel and access.

So my question is, what could the possable reason for not being aloud to make a website be (she said i couldent gain enough marks)

...And my second question is what sort of system could i make using excel and access.

I am not really sure of the main features of access so if you could tell me what is possible, i will be truly gratefull.

There will be classes later on that will allow you to go in the direction you want, but the teacher has set defined guidelines and wants you to stick to those.  The teacher may not be familiar enough to "grade" website building for one thing.  There are a couple of programs that will allow "novices" to build a website but not really have any experience in how it is done.  There are other more advanced programs that let the user do all the work.  The teacher is likely not familiar with all that and doesn't want to go down that path.  Maybe you can do the website for extra credit.
