  1. Well in QLD, You can work towards (NOT COMPULSORY BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) an O.P (Overall position) by doing a QCS (queensland Core Skills) Test within the state.

It varies from 1(highest) to 25(lowest- Basically being able to write your name and nothing else, If that). The test itself takes 2 days and more then 2 weeks of preperation.

You dont have to do this, But if you do not, You have to do further tests if you want to get into university.

If your NOT O.P eligable (you must do a minimum of 20 units through 2 years.. One term completed and passed = One Unit) but still want to sit for the QCS TEST, you can do this and receive a Field Position, which is another additional rank order.

After year 12, You will recieve your Year 12 Completion Certificate and if you did an O.P, The results come through in December some time.

You will see on the day they are due to come out, Lots of kids waiting by the letter box, Me and all my friends did it!

So there are two rewards in QLD schooling if you do it the right way!

    Hope this helps!
