Year long volunteering options?

ill be a senior this coming year and would really like to do some volunteer work after I graduate for a year. ill graduate number one or two in my class and i am pretty good with people but i my family is very poor and i dont have the money to pay to go volunteer somewhere like a mission trip would. by then i should have about 3000 dollars for living expenses though. any programs would be great...in or out of the u.s. Thanks a bunch.

  1. Americorps would be a good option for you. They have different programs. They tend to give living stipends, educational award, healthcare, training, etc. The program that is for 18-24 only may also give you free housing.
