  1. As Katie said- You really can't. These prizes are completely random.

  2. They are done complete random. ):

i saw people get picked for it before, lucky people.

    lol.

  3. well really you can't.

but here are a couple things that i think might make a cast member pick you guys over another family to give the prize to.

*always be happy and smile even when your feet are killing you and you are standing in an endless line. if they see you are happy even though others around you aren't then they may think now thats some good people to give a prize to.

*don't have tons of souveniers. have a couple like a t-shirt on or a mickey ears hat but if you are wearing like a princess costume and a stuffed animal the cast member may think well they have plenty i don't need to give them anything they could by anything they wanted. the cast member will be looking for disney spirit but also looking for people that don't look soo full of money that they could by the park.

*and tell you kids to not act like a brat cuz if the cast member sees a kid acting spoiled they will say well this kid is in disney world and should be having the time of their life yet she is acting nasty and mean to her mother i'm nt giving her anthing. they will be looking for kids that are happy and greatful for what their parents are doing for them. and also they are looking for parents that aren't yelling at their kid so you gotta try to be happy even if you want to kill your kid cuz she's driving you crazy.

oh and i wasn't trying to say your daughter is a brat or that you do yell at her all the time. but i know how kids can get when they are tired and i know how adults can get when their kid isn't acting the way they should.

i last went to disney world in dec 2007 with my sister and niece and the one time she was super tired cuz she was up since 7am and it was now 9pm and she just flipped out and started yelling and hitting and saying she hated us infront of tons of people and we yelled back and my sister grabbed her and smacked her cuz she would stop when we told her to. yeah that didn't look very good on any of our parts.

so i know how things can go sometimes.

and i'm not saying that anything i said will actually work cuz we tried to do it and we didn't get anything. but we stayed at the pop century resort and we were randomly choosen as the room to get a piece of pop culture. we  come back at night and saw there was a rubix cube on the table and a message was on our phone saying we won it.

so we did get something out of the year of a million dreams.

and we are going back to disney in dec this year so i'm hoping and praying that perhaps we will get something this time since the contest doesn't end till dec 31st.

Ps. true that it is done at a specific place and time and you don't know when or where a dream will be but it is fully up to the cast member who to give the dream to. that is the ramdom thing. this is why you need to look happy and excited to be there so that if you are at the right place a the right time the cast member will see you and say i'm giving it to them over all the other people here cuz they look like they deserve it.

  4. Sorry but its at a random. You have to be a a certain spot at a certain time. It's not up to the cast members, its all done by computers.

  5. It is done at random.  If you havppen to get a 'dream' it will be a nice suprise, and there is nothing that you can do (besides be in the park a lot) to improve your chances!

I got a prize once in the pre-show area of Tower of Terror.  There was no way I could have known to be in the pre-show at a specific time on a specific day.

  6. To be completely honest, you can't.  The prizes that are awarded as part of the Year of a Million Dreams are done so in a completely random manner.  The members of the Dream Squad are given a very specific and random list of times and places each day and that is how they hand out the awards.

That said, there are lots of little dreams that are out there.  They really aren't prizes so much as fun experiences.  These are also somewhat random, but I have found that people who are really into their experience seem to find these opportunities more often.

We have a traveled a couple of times during the promotion and I try to remind my kids that each trip is a dream come true and anything else is just icing on the cake.
