Year round schedule?

Those of you who do or don't have a year round school schedule, what do you think of it. I've heard from people who have had one before that they liked it better than the traditional 9/10 month school year 3 months off. Here we use a traditional schedule and I really wish they would convert, is there any way i could suggest this idea? I'm only 14, going into 9th grade but it seems like a much better idea. I wrote an essay on this for school last year and i was for the year round schedule and I did pretty well on it, any feedback will help. Do you like the year round or traditional better, any ways to suggest it? thanks for help

  1. well if you think about it...id like the year round. bc trhey get more than 3 months off when you add up all the breaks. but triditional you dont have to go in the summer heat. I like both. i cant choose. but if i had to.........year round

  2. I don't know for certain, for I've never had a year-round schedule, but I kind of like the traditional schedule.  I don't think I could deal with not having being able to look forward to school vacation, even if I get more vacations more often.

  3. In my school we have 2 schools... beside each other.

One of them is 2 floors.

The other one is 3 floors.

To get to every class tons of stairs.

Only aloud to have an elevator pass if your on crutches.

    No air conditioning.

Half of the fans are never turned on.

They torture us in my school.

    Our food is nasty.

    Yes, My school sucks.

So I couldn't do year round.

But if I had a better school I would.

  4. personally I'm for year round school (though I've never had it.) That way you don't have to worry about forgetting things over the summer, or loosing those pesky packets some teachers have you do.
